I. WINDRIDERS
This is a collection of seven species of wild birds filmed while in flight, hence I titled it "Windriders." It is presented in a cinematic 2:4:1 aspect ratio.

II. INDIGO-BANDED KINGFISHER
Some HD footage of this rarely filmed kingfisher found only in the Philippines.
Common name : Indigo-banded Kingfisher
Scientific name: Alcedo cyanopecta (a Philippine endemic, female)
Habitat: Restricted to clear fresh water streams up to at least 1500 m.
Total length: 141 mm.

III. KINGFISHER VS. WHIMBREL
HD video of a Collared Kingfisher (Todiramphus chloris) buzzing a Whimbrel (Numenius phaeopus) while the latter is foraging on a dried-up pond.
Filmed in-habitat at San Juan, Batangas, Philippines, on April 16, 2010, using a Canon 7D + 400 2.8 IS + stacked Canon 2x/1.4x TCs. Music - Epic Battle by Marc Teichert.

IV. FREEZING FEATHERS IN MID-AIR
13-year old Pogito learns to photograph birds in flight (BIFs) using a Canon 7D + 400 2.8 IS + 1.4x TC. Wild bird photographer Romy Ocon uses a Canon 40D + 500 f4 IS while teaching Pogito BIF shooting. The footage was filmed on location at Candaba wetlands, Philippines, on April 5, 2010. Gear used in filming was a Canon 5D2 + 24 mm + MKE 400 mic, all exposed manually in available light.
